I help my clients to discover why they are struggling with life, enabling them to make changes, and feel better. I specialise in exploring how a person’s past (family, experiences, upbringing) has influenced them.
My approach is to support clients in managing their day-to-day life, before considering what has happened in the past to inform the thoughts and behaviours that are causing problems in the present. For example, we might look into the patterns that you keep repeating or work to shift that intrusive thought that you just can’t overcome.
My clients find this helps them to understand themselves better and empowers them to be able to deal with the issues they face. I believe there is always the potential to change, and sometimes, we just need another person alongside us to help. I can be that person for you, so get in touch today.
I have helped clients with anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, bereavement and loss, low self-esteem, relationship issues, and faith crises. I offer one-to-one counselling online or in person at my comfortable Leith office. Please get in touch using the contact me form and we can talk about how I can help you.
If you have any questions about counselling, my blog section provides insights (see this post on what a counselling session is like) or check out the FAQs for details.
